I WAS WRONG. And I am glad. Go Ducks.
We watched Altman 25 years ago at KSU. Nothing surprises that guy. Lots of talent, great coaching, and a chip. They should beat the other team, especially if it's the cheater from KSU/South Carolina, Frank Martin. Sleaze ball.

I'd love to see a poor ratings final game, OR versus the Zags. Long shot, but it would be awesome.

More then your mwc teams.
Who is in the mwc. Is UNC, or Metro State in the mwc? I do not follow small time conferences. It is just too boring for sports. Fill us in on the conference and how many mwc are still left in the tourney.

Yes! It was great to have good guys in Red visiting instead
of the SOBs from LIncoln. I chatted with many of them--all were great.

Re: I remember when they drank all the beer in Folsom.
I think CU season tickets were around $87 . Badgers bought them just so they could go to that game. They rented the CEC put in a huge screen for those who didn't have tickets . Had beer trucks and meat trucks deliver for their tailgates . It was amazing and they were polite and friendly visitors .
Really amazing .

So Boyle is a great coach in a bad league? He has never finished in Top 4!
LOL - what a hypocrite. I guess CU fans should just be happy with a mediocre and declining program - that's as good as it gets in Boulder.

But I would be interested in seeing where they stack up.

Madison to Green Bay is more than a 2-hour drive
You can see where I am going with this.

And even for the few exceptions in my "NFL proximity rule" with that top 25 list (originally posted below by SamSpade, reposted by me here), Colorado's culture as a transient state with lots of people from everywhere makes it different from all the rest. It is what it is, and that is OK.

The list is VERY interesting for the differences in where the money comes from. I knew Uncle Phil took care of the Ducks, but that is ridiculous.

Hate to say I told you so but...
I didn't see any of these teams in the final four.

Looks like a tossup between the usual suspects. Boring.

Amazing that Fox took down UCLA
but remember, the sweet sixteen had 3 PAC teams. Can't dismiss Brooks, Dorsey and Ennis vs KU. grittiest players in the PAC12

I remember when they drank all the beer in Folsom.
I just don't see it. B10 schools get 50-60k to the Rose Bowl. They travel en mass to events.

When CU gets in the linked top 25 maybe we can revisit the topic?

Schools per conference
10 SEC
7 B10
4 B12
3 P12
1 ACC

List must not include private schools. ND, USC, and Stanford would be in this group too.

All speculation at this point
.All three are considered solid P5 level recuits, but none are considered top 50 "cant miss" types.

It all depends on how they adapt to the college game and develop. Tory Miller, XJ, and Dom were all similarly ranked recruits and they have been a mixed bag for sure

Excellent for the community. Crucial PR, yes. But the real value is for the participants:

We may be talented, gifted and fortunate, but never so important that we can't take time to make a difference in the lives of others, who may be less so.

I agree that PG is more important to this team than a big guy in the middle.

Losing four impact seniors is the definition of rebuilding. Gotta give the incoming freshman at least a season to adjust to CBB.

My man, I would not say "poor results"
Dude has won a ton.

How long did it take Dean Smith to win a title?

Then he finished with 2.

Boeheim won a ton but took him forever to win a NC.

Bobby Bowden in FB, same thing.

Fair question. Not flaming.
It "feels" like he has peaked to me but I wouldn't sell my soul at the crossroads with conviction on it.

I'm a nerd so I research a lot of coaches' year-by-year records. My findings? Sometimes coaches fade badly and get fired and sometimes coaches go through sub-par recruiting, suffer, are retained and then the curve goes back up and they have a really good year or run of good years. Even the greats occassionally do this.

I would not be heartbroken if Tad left and I do think he's on job "probation" now as far as having to win but he could bounce back if puzzle pieces fall into place, such as:

Bryce Peters gets his act together off the court and grows into an all conference caliber player

If the 3 frosh develop into a special class

If George King grabs this team by the cajones, leads and busts out big next season

If Namon Wright is more like the Utah transfer we had or Martice Moore than J. Fortune

And if the rest of the bunch provides some quality role players

And next season Tad stacks another good recruiting class on this one

Would really love him to find an stud PG and some perimeter shot makers

Is AJ the real deal?
Who's recruiting him?

Anyone seen him play?

I like the in-state guys committed.

Would be nice for the in-state elite to start commiting to CU. Hated losing the McCaffrey boys and last year, the LB to Michigan.

Happy Moretti reconsidered on tOSU and stayed home.

They could be but Boyle's recent recruiting record
speaks for itself. Even with the next class ranked in the 20's nationally, it is still in the bottom half of the PAC 12.

History has already shown that recruiting needs to improve if we are ever going to be better than a 1 and done tourney team.

#1 Colorado kid as of now is Adrian Jackson @ Mullen. Don't hold your breath for him as he seem pretty dead set on going out of state.

Hmm.
That blurb is worded a bit badly and it makes it look like we offered a bunch from Blinn CC, when in reality the only one on that list from Blinn is Dominique Harrison. All the rest are high schoolers.
In other interesting recruiting new, we just received a verbal from Joshka Gustav, a 6'3"/ 225 lb. 3* OLB from Aquinas HS in San Bernardino, CA.
