Very disappointed and ashamed of what has happened to college basketball

.I don't think Louisville, Miami, Auburn, USC and Arizona are going to be the last ones we hear about in this pursuit of busting assistant coaches who make less than 100K per year.

AAU basketball and the shoe companies have been the catalyst of this infectious deterioration of "amateur" basketball since the old Sonny Vaccaro days.

In case you don't know who he is Vaccaro is probably best known for his tenure with Nike, Inc., where he signed Michael Jordan to his first sneaker deal. Vaccaro left Nike for Adidas, then Reebok. He was the most visible "thug" in the shoe industry and he among others changed the game into this landscape. The landscape now where one and doner's are making tons of money before they go to college for one year.

But what bugs me most is the amount of time and money the FBI spent on this investigation when we have so many other far more damaging issues in our country. Such as say, maybe OPIOID misuse. There are doctors who need to be busted long before assistant basketball coaches.

Were the assistant basketball coaches and the shoe companies doing something illegal? It appears so. I just think there are bigger fish to fry.

I am glad they are caught and hopefully college basketball will make some positive changes.

FBI, that was a good practice game, now go and do something about all these drug companies and doctors that are poisoning our citizens.
